Artists Biography

Karelyn Siegler is a classically trained artist whose discipline and passion for beauty shape her popular illustrations. A graduate of the New York Academy of Art and a professor at New York’s Parson’s School of Design, Karelyn has studied in the United States and Europe. She was a recipient of the Bernard Phreim Scholarship to study and paint in the south of France and received a travel grant from the Forbes Foundation to paint at the Chateau de Balleroy in Normandy, France.

Born in Dundee, Scotland and raised in Houston, Texas, Karelyn has traveled, studied and exhibited as an artist nationally and internationally. Her work is strongly influenced by a treasured time spent in a tiny atelier in Bonnieux, France, where the sights, scenes, and textures of that country’s sunlit Luberon Valley inspired her love of color and form.
Today Karelyn lives and paints in a light filled flat in Forest Hills, New York, which walls are filled with an ever-growing collection of work.
