Lina Safar grew up in Kiev, Ukraine and graduated with honors from the University of Damascus, Syria, School of Fine Arts.
While studying she began working in design, painting, and book illustration and has participated in many local and international exhibitions.
She has illustrated small things like squirrels, shoes, and blue monkeys, and larger things like whales and the Solar System. Lina’s inspiration comes from everyday life and her travels inside and outside her own head.
She currently lives and paints in Washington, DC.
