Robin Roraback always wanted to be a children’s book illustrator. She loved to look at the pictures in books before she could read them. She got her library card at age six and it cemented her love of books.
Robin went to Rhode Island School of Design where she majored in illustration. She has illustrated for Holiday House, Grosset & Dunlap, Lerner, McGraw-Hill, Cricket, and Ladybug.
She lives in Connecticut with her dogs and cats who often model for her. Besides drawing and painting, she enjoys walking with her dogs and reading with a cat on her lap. Robin also loves horses (and all other animals), photography and making pottery whenever she gets a chance.
Robin has also gotten a grant from the Berkshire Taconic Foundation’s Martha Boschen Porter Fund for the stories she has written and illustrated
